Paul & Gill Thomas have been travelling to East Africa for over 30 years. Originally visiting family in the region, they quickly became fascinated by the beauty and diversity of the land, the people and the wildlife.

Having travelled extensively through Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Zanzibar they have a great understanding of tourism in this region.

Kenya is the country they know best, having visited almost every year since 1991. At first they used global travel companies to arrange their vacations but as their understanding and confidence grew they started making their own arrangements, discovering parks and reserves off the tourist trail.

in 2012 they found Ketsafaris while surfing the net. The Nairobi based Safari company appeared to offer what they were looking for; an independent, local company who had the ability to offer private safaris (just you and your guide/driver) on the established routes but also to be flexible enough to cater for tailor made itineraries, sometimes to the less known parks and lodges.

In 2023, after semi-retiring from their UK hospitality business, Paul & Gill offered to be UK based Ambassadors for the Ketsafaris brand and establish a UK agency.

Their primary function is to help potential clients understand the seemingly endless possibilities of independent travel in Kenya. Ketsafaris is a reliable, professional and friendly company and is a great choice for the Safari part of your holiday.
